   Not only did Sonia create the dress of my dreams, but her professionalism and caring nature made the process of preparing for my wedding so smooth. She is highly  responsive, will work with you on every idea and amendment and puts so much effort and love into her craft.

She took the time to explore materials, design and cost breakdowns to ensure we created a comfortable, unique design that met my criteria and budget. She met with me multiple times to ensure every detail was right and stayed with me up until the very last moment.

   Could not recommend Sonia enough if you are after a beautiful one of a kind dress. From our first meeting Sonia was extremely knowledgeable, kind and made me feel so comfortable. Every fitting was a success and Sonia always made sure she had plenty of time for me as I was coming from interstate.

   I struggle to sum up the words to describe my AMAZING experience with Sonia.
This women helped me bring to life the most stunning wedding dress of my dreams, she was patient, understanding, creative, informative and has SUCH an eye for attention to detail.

This women made me feel so comfortable and heard every step of the way, and if at any point I had any questions or hesitations she guided me and supported me… never made me feel like I didn’t know what was going on.

I don’t have many photos of my second dress but that was just as beautiful! Was designed to be a fun party dress with lots of movement but also give off that classy bridal vibe.

I truely couldn’t recommend this women enough and I feel like 5 stars i just not enough.

   I absolutely cannot recommend Sonia enough. She turned my ideas into an amazing bespoke wedding dress. Sonia’s attention to detail is next level and she is absolutely meticulous in making sure every single part of the dress is perfect.
Above all, Sonia is a truly lovely person and I always felt so comfortable with her during all the fittings.
Plus it’s great to support a local business, particularly after a rough couple of years.

   Sonia was recommended to me with absolutely glowing reviews. I then saw her work at a bridal expo and knew that Sonia was the person I wanted to help bring my dream vision to life. I bought a beaded dress off the rack from Rachel Gilbert in Armadale. I wanted to have the back cut out of the dress to create the low open back look. This was a complex job as the dress was fully beaded. Sonia did an outstanding job. The dress fit like a glove because she was meticulous in making sure it hugged me in all the right places. Sonia also made my custom detachable wings from scratch. They are stunning and created a real sense of drama to the overall look. Sonia was meticulous with these too. She even dyed the tulle to ensure the colour match was perfect to my dress. Sonia is incredibly skilled and talented. She is organised and kind. I would 100% recommend her to anyone. She’s the best in the business.

   Sonia was AMAZING. Seriously cannot convey how happy I was with my wedding gown, would give 6 stars if I could! I initially met with Sonia in November of 2021 and we began my dress in March 2022.
Sonia was the finest of experts in couture service, having impeccable attention to detail. At every single fitting I felt she could see my vision and bring it to life with the highest of quality.
However, it’s also Sonia’s caring and empathic nature that sets her apart, she treats her bride's like they’re her own daughters. She checked to ensure I was entirely happy with every last detail along the way, and I felt incredibly special and cared-for throughout the whole journey.

   Sonia D’Ochoa made the impossible possible, I got married 2 months after giving birth, and Sonia thought of everything at the time of her design. the right dress, elegant, comfortable, beautiful, and most importantly for me and my little daughter breastfeeding friendly!! how it was? it was simply unforgettable, I didn’t stop receiving comments from my friends about her design.
Sonia was so kind and so helpful, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Sonia made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. Everything turned out exactly the way she planned. She listened patiently to what I wanted and created a Wedding Gown design that has left a lasting impression on me to this day.    I engaged Sonia D’Ochoa for my wedding gown for November 2021.

Sonia was amazing.  Right from our very first meeting she was excited about the design I had designed, and nothing appeared to be too much trouble.  She offered her advice to change my design slightly to better suit my body shape and to be more comfortable.  Her quote was much cheaper the other 6 dressmakers we had also been to as she helped choose material that would fit into my budget without compromising on the quality of the design.  She was very responsive, friendly and approachable, and always replied to emails and calls promptly.

Due to COVID we had a lot of delays with Melbourne’s lockdowns and not being able to go in person to fittings.  Sonia prioritised my dress as soon as we were out of lockdowns by having weekly dress fitting to get the gown finished on time.  She was so detailed orientated that on the Wednesday before my wedding she was still not happy with the design that she spent more time working on my gown to have it back to me the next day.

On the day of my wedding Sonia came to dress me at my wedding venue.  She spent the morning steaming my gown to perfection.

I was extraordinarily happy with our choice to go with Sonia and highly recommend her for your wedding gown or next formal event.

   I highly recommend Sonia! She is a true artist - her attention to detail is incredible, highly professional and such a delight to work with. With such short notice, she made the impossible possible and created a custom dress for me to wear to my sisters wedding. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted, sourced the most beautiful, quality fabric and made suggestions to make the design even better. I was in awe of all of the beautiful gowns she was working on every time I entered her studio.
